Deployment, Licensing & Services
Accelerate your digital laboratory transformation
LabAthena pairs the LabOperator platform with the people who implement, validate and operate it. We help you get from a first connected instrument to a digital lab that runs across all your sites.
- One partner from strategy to operations
- Experience in GxP-regulated laboratories
- Cloud, dedicated or on your infrastructure
Why LabAthena
Why organizations partner with LabAthena
Lab digitalization programs rarely stall on the software itself. They stall on instrument integration, on alignment between IT and the lab, and on the step from a pilot to a real rollout. That is where we focus.
Laboratory domain expertise
Our consultants and engineers have worked in and with laboratories. Before we configure anything, we map how your teams actually work: samples, methods, deviations and hand-offs.
Instrument connectivity
Instrument integration is where many lab projects slow down. We bring device drivers for a wide range of instruments, the Connector Box for edge connectivity, and engineers who handle older and vendor-specific equipment.
Digital workflows
We convert paper SOPs and spreadsheet hand-offs into guided digital workflows that take people, instruments and systems through each step of a process.
Regulatory & validation support
In GxP environments we support validation planning, risk assessment, testing and documentation from the start of the project.
Flexible deployment
Run LabOperator in our public cloud, in a dedicated cloud environment or on your own infrastructure, operated by us or by your IT team.
End-to-end delivery
Strategy, implementation, integration, operations, training and support come from one company. The team that runs your first workshop stays involved after go-live.
Software & deployment
Deployment models for every laboratory strategy
Choosing where LabOperator runs is a question of speed, control, governance and who operates the system day to day. Pick the model that fits your IT strategy now. You can move to a different model later.

Licensing
Scale your digital laboratory ecosystem
Licensing is based on the instruments you connect, the people who use the platform and the enterprise systems it connects to. Start with a defined scope and add instruments, users and integrations as you expand, all on the same platform.
Instrument Connectivity Licenses
Each instrument connected to LabOperator needs an instrument connectivity license. An integration built for one instrument type can be reused for the same type in other labs and sites, so every additional instrument takes less effort to connect.
- One license per connected instrument, which makes costs easy to plan
- Reusable integrations across the organization
- Connectivity at scale, from one lab to many sites
- A foundation for further lab automation
Connector Box
The Connector Box is an edge device that connects bench instruments to LabOperator. It turns onboarding a new instrument into a standard, repeatable step.
- Secure connection between instruments and the platform
- Plug-and-play setup at the bench
- Standardized communication across device types
- Based on Raspberry Pi, compact and cost-efficient
- Integrates with your lab network and IT policies
Named User Licenses
Named user licenses give each person access to LabOperator according to their role. You add licenses as more labs go live.
- Role-based access. Each user sees and does what their role requires.
- Grows with adoption. Add licenses in step with your rollout.
- Collaboration. Shared workflows, data and hand-offs in one place.
Enterprise Integration Licenses
Enterprise integration licenses connect LabOperator to your other scientific and manufacturing systems. Data moves between them with its context and doesn't have to be re-entered.
Plan your licensing
Licensing depends on your scope: instruments, users, integrations and deployment model. We can help you size a first phase and the steps after it.
Consulting & advisory
Build a strategy for the modern laboratory
A good lab digitalization program starts with knowing where the value is, what to change first and how to get people on board. Our consultants have backgrounds in lab operations, scientific informatics and quality, and they help you build a roadmap your organization can fund and carry out.
Transformation roadmaps
We work out the order in which labs, workflows and instruments should be digitalized, based on your business goals, your IT landscape and the situation at each site. The result is a phased plan that leadership can approve.
Value and process analysis
We look at how work flows today, where time is lost to errors and rework, and what improvement is realistic. That gives you a business case before you commit to a wider rollout.
Stakeholder alignment and change
Lab digitalization involves scientists, lab managers, IT, QA and leadership. We run the program, keep these groups aligned and plan the change so new tools become part of daily work.
Validation and compliance
We help you define a risk-based validation approach that fits your quality system, and we support documentation, testing and inspection readiness in GxP environments.
Clear priorities
Know which labs, workflows and instruments to start with, and why.
Lower investment risk
A business case and a phased plan before you scale to more sites.
